Vargas-Salicetti is a first generation Venezuelan-American director, writer, photographer, and videographer.

Currently based out of Chicago, IL

Practicing the medium since 2011, Vargas is self-taught, specializing in black and white portraiture and street photography. Influenced heavily by the old masters Rembrandt and Caravaggio, Vargas’ stills strive to find the unique imbalance between light and deep shadows. Rarely shot using anything more than natural light or the occasional flash, his photographs find the infinite beauty in the many shades of black and grey produced by still imagery.
